It's always good news when a new Miyazaki dubbed movie comes out. And from what I've heard to date, this dub promises to be an awesome presentation that's totally faithful to the tone and spirit of the original. Porco Rosso is considered his finest film after Nausicaa and has some of the best animated scenes of prop-driven aircraft in flight ever done by anyone anywhere. Michael Keaton as Porco should be great. It's to be released in the UK in April, 2004, but could be in USA stores sooner than that.
2004 will be a good year for Miyazaki fans because there's also supposed to be a UK release of an uncut, newly dubbed and remastered Nausicaa in Nov. 2004, which again could be in USA stores sooner. Lord knows there's been enough fan clamor for this movie, mine included. (^_*) |
