Almost everything is still available but I believe some titles will start to get scarce in the next month or so. It looks like Paradise Kiss will be the first completely sold out series unless I missed something that is already gone. Here are some highlights on new titles availability:

Many of the titles that came out early this year (Gankutsuou and before) are safe since there are box sets that are also available. I also suspect that Geneon either did a second pressing for new releases or lowered their production orders at this time since there are adequate copies of Gun Sword, Elemental Gelade, and Saiyuki Reload. Edit: updated numbers. To get another angle I put titles that are out of stock at Amazon in bold. Underlined means Robert's Anime corner is out of stock. Fate/stay 3 still has 75 copies. Don't mess with me like that!
I was hoping I'd be able to pick up Shana cheap at some point, but now I see that won't be happening. Arg. I sure hope Geneon pulls an SNK, and then rereleases all their old stuff. |

More like they should do a Buy 10 get it for $50 crap and just be done with it. No sense in wasting Warehouse space for the titles.

Hmm, I really want to purchase When They Cry.. but I don't think it would be worth my money when I know the rest is not coming out anytime soon. Maybe I'll do it anyway for a limited release sake. It's really sad to see all these fine Geneon products disappear.

I think the reason they don't is the sheer volume of orders during such sales would exhaust the remaining stock far too quickly, making for unhappy customers and just too much work overall. It'd make more sense to just dump the lot into the bargain bin for $5-7 each instead... although, considering the fan-scramble to get Geneon titles, they're probably making enough money to leave them alone for now.

I bought Fafner Vol.1 + Artbox back at the end of September after the shutdown was announced...at the time, I bought it when "Quantity Remaining" was 1. Then a few weeks later the quantity was back to 500. Granted, that was a few months ago, but the end might not be here yet. And the CCS licenses expired late last year or early this year, so they've been OOP for awhile.
Some other series I noticed with counters were Last Exile, The Daichis, Dokkoida, the 2 El Hazard TV series boxed sets, Koi Kaze, and Stellvia. Some older series are relatively safe though, like Chobits, Trigun, X, NieA_7 (boxed set is unavailable though), and Texhnolyze. |

TRSI got a shipment I believe around mid-October. They were at 0 for some of the Elemental Gelade discs when the announcement was made. Granted there are other vendors, and you can always find used copies (people hae successfully hunted down most of the long OOP Sailor Moon DVDs) but I think for the most part we are starting to see the last round at TRSI.

Just to add to this. At this exact time you can get 11 copies of Fafner V.1-7w/box(singles) from Right Stuf. A moment ago you could get 12.

I think Fate/Stay Night #7 is a mistake on Amazon. I think the series only goes up to $6

It's actually my mistake since the Amazon listing for Fate 7 is the import volume 7. They tend to have a good number of R2 listings. I should have realized this with it's $80 price tag and 2006 year release. |

That's scary. I plan on buying all of Fafner on Jan 10 (rather than now). You posted this on Dec 27; it's now Jan 1. Fortunately, the counters still indicate what you say on this post. If the counters start indicating that I can only get 5 or less copies of all the Fafner volumes, I'll start buying the Fafner volumes whether it's Jan 10 or not. |

There are well over 100 copies of each of the Last Exile volumes as well as I believe a good number of box sets. R.O.D. has over 50 copies per volume as well. The titles I'm listing are new and below 50 or sold out titles. Most of the older titles have box sets available which increases the quantity compounded by them selling at a much slower (overall) rate compared to 2007 releases.

If you go to an individual product's page, such as Ergo Proxy DVD 1, you'll find on the right hand side there is a counter with the "Quantity Remaining" just above the purchase button. I'm assuming Randall just took the time to check out all of the Geneon DVD releases and compiled this list for us. |
