I'm interested in reading the manga Parasyte but the current publisher only wants to release it once every six months and so it'll take several years before it is fully rereleased. I'm considering just buying the old editions but am wondering if the changes made to the storyline screw things up too badly and if I should just buy and enjoy the current unflipped rerelease.

Actually, the release schedule has been sped up. Volume 3 will be released in May, 4 in July, and 5 in October. So I think you should stick with the current release.

The Mixx editions weren't done badly, and there weren't any changes to the plot, just a lot of localization. Do ahead and buy them if you can find them, but you'll save money (and get more content) in the long run if you buy the Del Rey editions.

Okay, sounds good. I found the Mixx editions on Amazon.com so that wasn't an issue, but if the releases are going to get here at a reasonable time I decided to just buy the Del Rey releases and have ordered them already. Thanks for the information.
