You don't need the Kindle itself to view it. Just download the Kindle viewing app for PC or Mac. It's also available via iOS and Android and other phone OSs.

Yup, I finally found a use for a use for the Kindle app on my android phone. This is totally worth the 10 bucks.

So I have the Kindle App for Mac, but when I go to the items page, it says "Not currently available". Is it only available in the US? I'm in Australia btw.

It's only available in North America right now. (U.S. and Canada)
Let me ask the project leader how he wants to handle the other countries.
