That was one of the best interviews I've read on this site. It must've felt really good to be accused of being a Japanese mangaka using a western pseudonym. Very Happy

Thanks for the interview!

Peepo Choo was serialized in Kodansha's Morning Two (known, if at all, for Saint Young Men). I mention this because the magazine's 2ch threads are where all the "Japanese netizens have mixed feelings about this" action is. So try reading thoseif you dare.

After all that confusion had died down, everyone simply went on assuming that the dialogue was translated by the editors. It seems like no-one could quite believe that someone who'd come to Japan to work there would also be able to speak the language.

In the particular thread I linked to, you'll get to read this heartfelt exchange:

Peepo Choo is also supporting us *cries*

Looking at that picture by Felipe helped me calm down
Hiragana, Kanji, he really must have given it his all, writing them...

Great interview.
However, i do have to point out one minor mistake.
The last picture in the article is not from Death Metal Zombie Cop but from the Ghost Rider comic.
