NEWS: Black Clover Anime Casts Misako Tomioka, Satoshi Mikami, Sayaka Senbongi

Given that these three characters were shoe-horned into the manga with absolutely no explanation as to who they were and how the characters already knew each other, I was expecting the anime to take advantage of "filler" and explore that but it seems they won't be.

they are going to adapt the light novel in episode 55 & 56

Though the adaptation of the light novel is gonna come after or right before they appear.

Either way its still gonna be jarring as all Hell because not once has their adventure ever been mentioned before. Its gonna come completely out of the blue.

Who is to say it's going to be jarring? Try a positive outlook man.

Anyway I am excited to see the light novel adapted! It's going to be fun.

Because it is jarring. These characters come literally out of nowhere through some unseen adventure never been mentioned before. This is not me being cynical, that’s fact.

The pacing of the anime has arcs happen quickly after each other & there is no indication that they ever helped some refugee’s from the diamond kingdom. It’s gonna be weird being introduced to these characters, at least their adventure is gonna be seen unlike in the manga.
