There just aren't enough new ecchi titles coming out these days, are there? Glad they could back and find a classic. Wink

I shouldn't be sarcastic, I really don't know anything about the show, it could be quite good.

It's something to be avoided... it's bad... but if your wanting to watch a better series.. Lupin hands down, and I mean any Lupin, even that confusing Secret of Mamo movie.

So your best just leaving Mouse unseen....

Now I'm going to go run World of Darkness to get the images of Mouse out of my head...

this is a very odd move... the thing was cheap and amusing, but not much of brain power. Dunno if they are 'casting the TV version or the DVD, but it was at the far end of ecchi. harmless fluff, but I'd think it's been long owned by anyone that likes such things... it's $12 at R/S, IIRC I got it even cheaper.

Mouse is so aggressively bad I wouldn't call it "harmless". I am definitely a little dumber for having watched some of it.

Look on the bright side, it's not DearS, or Happy Lesson.

Even though I have a high tolerance for this type of show, Mouse is still pretty bad. You can't even use the "it's softcore porn" that you can use with Queen's Blade simply because the anime removes all the manga's nudity. The writing is awful even for this type of series, and their backgrounds don't even give any real information because no reason is ever given for why their sluts.

Thank you all for confirming my suspicions.

...although I thought Happy Lesson was okay.

Not all that odd. On Media Blaster's side, the thin-pack was released about a year ago and, clicking through, its listed as in-stock everywhere, so it didn't sell like hot cakes(!), Raising its profile at this date will probably sell a few extra DVD's, and there'll be a trickle of streaming royalties.

And no new subtitle to fund, so Crunchy wouldn't even have to pay an advance, just royalties, which is pretty much a no-lose proposition on their side. And it aired on cable! Question

Media Blasters uploaded the DVD version of Queen's Blade (which also got more episodes! oh? joy?), so they're probably uploading the DVD version of Mouse.

heh, I think Zac is on to something there... I must have too much dain bramage from watching this stuff Laughing

as far as DearS or H/L I would have to say that Mouse is far below them in quality... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but I know from a lot of people's POV that's not sayin' much.

Did Media Blasters release any other light-ero series in last-round thinpacks sometime in the last few years? That are still in stock?

That. They are obviously happy enough with the result of Queen's Blade to keep the experiment going, and its not just good things that come in threes.

So...it's like DNAngel...only instead of magical powers and secret identity, the main character uses whores (whoreswhores)?
