Akiba's Trip Plus' Voiced Events Promo Streamed

posted on by Jennifer Sherman
Vampire-hunting PSP game's main cast, "bashful voice" feature announced

The official website for the Akiba's Trip Plus PSP game began streaming a 91-second promotional video for the title's fully voiced event scenes on Friday. The video includes several story clips from the updated version of the vampire-hunting action game Akiba's Trip, which will feature full voice acting in all event scenes.

The website also announced the game's main voice cast and character information. The player character is an 18-year-old boy who becomes a vampire hunter when he is on a trip in Tokyo's Akihabara (Akiba) district. Yōko Hikasa (K-ON!, Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? of the Dead) will play Rui Fumizuki, and Sayuri Yahagi (Sankarea, To Love-Ru) will play the protagonist's younger sister. Characters will show their embarrassment when their clothes are removed with the new "bashful voice" feature.

Other improvements made to the game in its new version include a recreation of Tokyo's Akihabara (Akiba) district revised for 2012 (the game's setting), and "refined" character models, as well as new modes, missions, and costumes. The Ben-To light novel author Asaura collaborated on the scenario for Akiba's Trip, and tanu (Tari Tari) provided character designs. Acquire posted the game's first promotional video earlier this month.

The original game's story begins when vampires attack a young man, controlled by the player, while he is visiting Akiba. A girl named Rui rescues and recruits him to join a group of vampire hunters. He uses various weapons to fight against vampires and removes their clothes so that sunlight destroys them.

The game will retail at 3,990 yen (about US$49) and ship in Japan on June 21. People who pre-order the game will receive a special book with game visuals and a CD with the in-game idol group's song "Vanity Vamp."
