5 Things to Pre-Order This Week (Sept. 18)

posted on by Bamboo Dong

A weekly list of neat, cute, strange, or otherwise interesting items you could pre-order right now.

1. Adorable stacking Totoro figure

Whatever this is, it's super cute. One of ENSKY's latest in its TsumuTsumu line, this set contains one large Totoro, one medium Totoro, three small Totoros, four Kurosukes, one caterpillar, two mushrooms, one leaf, three acorns, and a horsetail. They're all stand-alone and can be displayed in pretty much any stacking configuration you want.

The set retails for 2,980 yen (~$30) and is expected to ship in mid-November.

2. Rozen Maiden Eyelashes Case

Here's a case you can use to store your fake eyelashes. Yep.

The Rozen Maiden-themed cases feature either Shinku or Siugintou, and are decorated with rhinestones. Made by Hobby Stock, it is expected to be released in late November. The retail is 1,200 yen (~$12).

3. Attack on Titan nail clippers

Attack your keratin with these Attack on Titan-branded nail clippers. They come in four varieties: Eren, Mikasa, Armin, and Levi. They retail for 937 yen (~$9.50) and are due out in late December.

4. Chogokin Tamashii GX-64 Battleship Yamato 2199

This Bandai Chogokin replica of the Yamato isn't just lovingly assembled from plastic and metal, it's also ridiculously detailed, includes every single canon and gun, and comes equipped with LEDs. And it makes series-accurate sound effects. It even opens up to reveal a hangar. If you're a Yamato nerd, this is pretty much a must-own, even though it'll run you 26,000 yen (~ $261). It's slated for a January 2014 release.

5. Bikini-clad Iwai Mushanokoji figure from The Severing Crime Edge

"Hair Queen" Iwai Mushanokoji, lead heroine of serial killer action/romance The Severing Crime Edge, gets a total beach makeover in this figure from WAVE. The character doesn't like being in public when her hair is at its maximum, curse-fueled length, but even she can't seem to pass up the beach.

This 1/10 scale figure is part of WAVE's BEACH QUEENS line of figures, which in the past has included characters from series like Squid Girl, Accel World, and others. It's set to be released this December.
