Crunchyroll Shares Scenes from its 'Ani-May' Event in Mumbai

Crunchyroll shared images from its "Ani-May" event in Mumbai held on Friday. Fans gathered for food, cosplay, games, and music with a DJ set by anime fan Maxxedro.
Crunchyroll had its biggest booth yet at the Mumbai Comic Con 2026. The booth had photo ops with a cherry tree, posters, a Suzume door, and an anime street. The company had activities where fans could decorate the booth or even voice lines for an anime in English, Hindi, Tamil, or Telugu.
Crunchyroll announced its first slate of Hindi and Indian English dubs in November 2022 as it introduced subscription tiers for Indian audiences.
It established its second office in India in March 2024.
The company began streaming several of its anime titles in India on March 1, 2022. Funimation and Crunchyroll announced on the same day that Funimation and Wakanim's anime library and simulcast content had moved to Crunchyroll. The company appointed Rahul Purini as CEO in April 2022 after several years as COO of Funimation. Amazon Prime Video added Crunchyroll as an add-on subscription in June 2024.
