posted on

In a multiple press release packet last week, Central Park Media announced several new titles for release in February, including the Anime 18 title "Beast City: Awakening of the Beast" (dubbed and subtitled), Ping-Pong Club Goes Too Far (subtitled), Patlabor TV series volume 4 (subtitled) and Darkside Blues (dubbed). Each will be released on February 2, for $29.95 list for subs and $24.95 list for dubs. The company also formally announced its DVD release of The Heroic Legend of Arislan collection in one two-disc box. The release will retail for $79.95 and will include dubbed and subtitled versions of episodes 1-4 (dubbed by Manga Entertainment) as well as the Age of Heroes sequel. The set will reportedly contain multiple extras as well.

AnimEigo announced the re-release of the Urusei Yatsura TV series, and will release volume 20 and beyond starting on the first of the year. A UY TV 11-20 laserdisc box is also planned. On another note, the first shipment of the Kimagure Orange Road TV series has arrived and the LD set is expected soon. (Meanwhile, fans are eagerly anticipating another DVD announcement, as the Bubblegum Crisis set from M2K has been enormously popular, surpassing even some mainstream releases from Paramount, according to AnimeonDVD.com.)

Pioneer also announced that they will be releasing Tenchi in Tokyo on DVD.
