End of EVA DVD Flawed?

There are reports on this Anime on DVD forum thread of flaws with The End of Evangelion DVD that cause the second half of the DVD to be unreadable on various DVD players. Other people, however, report no problems with the disc. It seems that there may be a batch of defective End of Eva discs, while others are fine.
