AN Entertainment is pleased to announce the upcoming North American release of the 24 episode long Omishi Magical Theater: Risky Safety anime TV series. This charming series of ten minute long episodes will be brought to English language viewers on three bilingual DVD volumes released every other month beginning on July 8, 2003. The 80 minute long debut Risky Safety DVD will contain TV episodes 1-8, dub out-takes, extensive translation notes, interactive menus, and an image gallery at a suggested retail price $29.95. Anime fans that attend the Anime Expo convention in Anaheim, California on July 3rd - 6th will be given an exclusive opportunity to purchase the debut Risky Safety DVD days before its official street date!

Based on a manga story by Ray Omishi, the creator of Sorcerer Hunters, Risky Safety is a heartwarming story for viewers of all ages. Young Moe Katsuragi, depressed because she believes she has to break up with her boyfriend, is confronted by a small and spunky apprentice death spirit named Risky. Risky tries to pressure Moe into giving in to despair and giving up her soul until a glimpse of hope brightens Moe's attitude and causes Risky to transform into the apprentice angel Safety. In fact, the testy devil Risky and the compassionate angel Safety share the same body! This comical struggle between light and dark, and the tug-of-war over possession of Moe's soul forms the basis of a humorous and touching drama certain to appeal to established fans of Japanese animation and viewers new to the unique appeal of anime.

AN Entertainment is committed to presenting English language viewers with a version of Risky Safety that's both authentic and accessible, from translation to packaging. The English language version of Risky Safety will be produced by the talented Bang Zoom! Entertainment, a dubbing studio widely recognized for its exceptional work in localizing Japanese animation with English language dialogue. The Japanese language version of Risky Safety will include optional English subtitles, carefully translated to insure both accuracy and fluid delivery. To ensure a credible and rewarding subtitled viewing experience, the English subtitles will literally transcribe elements of Japanese culture mentioned in the spoken dialogue, creating an authentic cultural immersion for viewers. Extensive translation notes will make the subtitle translation accessible and appealing to viewers unfamiliar with anime and Japanese culture.

The Risky Safety DVDs will feature reversible covers giving consumers their choice of a "Risky side" or a "Safety side" complete with English or Japanese language logo.
