News Rose of Versailles Bath Powder Sets Debut in Japan

The Japanese beauty supply maker Creer Beaute has begun selling bath powder sets based on The Rose of Versailles shōjo manga classic this fall. The sets come in four varieties to match the four main male characters of this historical romance set in aristocratic France: Fersen (thalasso water), Andre (rose-infused water), Gerodere (milky water), and Alain (hidrotic water).
The bath powder sets join the official Rose of Versailles Mascara (in Oscar Gloss and Longlash and Antoinette Sparkle & Volume varieties) and the official Rose of Versailles Eyeliner (in one style: Oscar Impact & Cool Eyes) in Creer Beaute's catalog. Advance sales of the bath powders sets began in Japan's Loft and Its' Demo chain stores on September 20, with other stores following suit in October. Since Riyoko Ikeda's manga debuted in Shueisha's Margaret manga magazine in 1972 and the anime adaptation aired from 1979 to 1980, many of its fans have grown up and are now adult consumers of beauty supplies.
