Kowarekake no Orgol's 7-Minute Promo Video Streamed

posted on by Egan Loo
Anime from Moetan artist POP with voices Masumi Asano, Tetsuya Kakihara

The website for the Kowarekake no Orgol (Kowarekake no Orugōru or Half-Broken Music Box) dōjin (self-published) anime project has begun streaming a 6-minute, 35-second promotional video with a vocal track on Friday. Moetan illustrator POP designed and supervised the project under his ElectromagneticWave dōjin brand. The story centers on a musician who goes to one unsuccessful audition after another. One day, he meets a mysterious girl who ends up living with him.

The video was previously released on DVD at the Comic Market 75 event last December in Tokyo. Masumi Asano plays the girl Furawaa (phonetic transliteration of "flower"), while Tetsuya Kakihara plays the musician Keiichirō.

POP illustrated the Moetan English-teaching guides that were animated by ACTAS, Inc. for television in 2007. He also illustrated a series of POP Wonderland books that retell classic children's tales like Thumbelina and Alice in Wonderland. Dark Horse Comics will publish POP's version of Thumbelina in North America in July.
