Apple's website is now streaming the trailer for the American release of Goro Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli's Tales from Earthsea (Gedo Senki) film. Apple is also hosting the trailer in three different high-definition resolutions for downloading, and the film's own website is streaming the trailer. The film will open in the United States on August 13 after opening in Japan and elsewhere in 2006. (The movie was not officially available in the United States until this year, due to an earlier live-action Sci Fi Channel adaptation of Ursula K. Le Guin's Earthsea fantasy novels.)
The official website for the anime adaptation of Tamiki Wakaki's Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai (The World God Only Knows) romantic comedy manga has opened with an 80-second teaser promotional video on Wednesday. The same video was shown at the Jisedai World Hobby Fair '10 Summer last month in Chiba near Tokyo. The manga centers on Keima Katsuragi, a high school boy who is known as the "Capturing God" for his success at romance simulation games. However, thanks to a contract with a devil, he now has to capture the hearts of real girls to catch the runaway spirits hidden in those hearts.
The official website for the You Are Umasou (Omae Umasou Dana) anime film is streaming a 40-second trailer. The film adapts Tatsuya Miyanishi's popular picture book about a Tyrannosaurus who comes across an Ankylosaurus baby all by himself and says, "Gaō! Omae Umasou Dana" ("Rawr! You look delicious.") However, the Tyrannosaurus ends up adopting the baby as his own. 1.5 million copies of the book have been published so far, and the film will open in Japan on October 16.
