Miyazaki's Nausicaä Blu-ray to Ship in Australia & UK

Madman Entertainment revealed on Monday that it will release Hayao Miyazaki's Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind anime film on Blu-ray Disc in Australia in November. Optimum Releasing then announced on Friday that it will release the film in the United Kingdom on October 18.
Madman Entertainment added that it will give its Nausicaä Blu-ray "the same treatment as we did with Ponyo" with many extras. It also noted that the Blu-ray releases of My Neighbor Totoro, Laputa: Castle in the Sky, and other Miyazaki or Studio Ghibli films besides Ponyo have not been released on Blu-ray in the United States yet. Nausicaä sold 20,000 copies when it shipped on Blu-ray in Japan. The only Miyazaki feature film to get a Blu-ray Disc release in North America was Ponyo on March 2.
