Hong Kong Asian Film Fest Hosts Satoshi Kon Tribute

posted on by Gia Manry
Festival to screen four of the late director's anime films

The Hong Kong Asian Film Festival, which started on Friday and runs through November 8, is hosting a tribute to the late anime film director Satoshi Kon. Throughout the festival, all four Kon-helmed full-length anime feature films will be screened. Millennium Actress and Paprika will each be shown five times, while Perfect Blue and Tokyo Godfathers will screen three times each.

Kon passed away on August 24 at the age of 46. Madhouse co-founder Masao Maruyma has promised that Kon's final work, the anime film Yume-Miru Kikai, will be completed.
