Hikaru Sugii, original creator of the psychological mystery manga Heaven's Memo Pad, will begin serializing a new light novel series titled Student Council Detective Kirika. This romantic comedy mystery title will ship on December 2 with seven other works published under the Kodansha publishing company's new light novel label.

Student Council Detective Kirika centers on Kirika Hijiribashi, a high school student who just enrolled in a school with 8,000 students. Despite the large student body, only three girls control the student council with a budget of 800,000,000 yen (about US$10,541,600). When the student council's eccentric members force Kirika to join, she becomes wrapped in the school's drama and mysteries.

Other titles scheduled for release on December 2 under the new Kodansha label include the Ojamajo Doremi manga's sequel, a prequel to Hajime Isayama's Attack on Titan manga, and an adaptation of Kosuke Fujishima's Paradise Residence manga.
