The BIGLOBE service began streaming a 39-second trailer for the final movie in BONES' six-part film series Towa no Quon on Saturday. The sixth installment in the supernatural anime film series opened in Japan on Saturday.
The story of Towa no Quon follows a boy named Quon and others who suddenly wake up with supernatural powers. He must protect himself and those like him from Kestos, the secret organization hunting them. The first five installments ran in Japanese theaters between June and this month.
Takeshi Mori (Otaku no Video, Gunsmith Cats, Vandread) is serving as the BONES series' "collaborative director" in place of the late Umanosuke Iida (Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team, Hellsing). Iida passed away from lung cancer last November as he was planning the series.
Sentai Filmworks licensed the series in September, and The Anime Network has been streaming some of the installments in the series to subscribers. Sentai Filmworks plans to release the series on Blu-ray and DVD in 2012.
