Izumi Kitta, Aimi Terakawa to appear with card game's illustrators

The official English-language website for Bushiroad's Cardfight!! Vanguard trading card game announced that voice actresses Izumi Kitta (Tantei Opera Milky Holmes, Brave10; pictured right) and Aimi Terakawa (Ben-To, Astarotte no Omocha! theme songs; pictured left) will appear at this year's Anime Expo event. Kitta and Terakawa play the characters Misaki and Suiko in the Cardfight!! Vanguard television anime series. This will be both actresses' first appearance at a North American convention.

The franchise's card illustrators Yosuke Adachi and Foo Midori will also appear at the event. Adachi debuted as an illustrator for the Angel Gear game in 2003, and he is currently writing the manga series Quick Start!!. Midori recently served as a character designer for Cartoon Network's FusionFall online game.

The anime's official YouTube channel posted the first 12 episodes in the series with an English dub this past week. This is the same dub that aired on TV in Singapore starting in October 2011.

Along with the card game that inspired it, the anime is a collaboration between Yu-Gi-Oh! R manga creator Akira Itō, the original Duel Masters technical adviser Satoshi Nakamura, and Bushiroad President Takaaki Kidani. Hatsuki Tsuji directed the television series at the anime studio TMS Entertainment. Crunchyroll streamed the 65-episode series in various countries outside of Japan as it aired.

A sequel series, Cardfight!! Vanguard: Asia Circuit Hen, premiered in Japan in April. The card game's live-action television adaptation, starring BREAKERZ band musician DAIGO, also premiered in Japan on May 3.

This year's Anime Expo will take place in the Los Angeles Convention Center from June 29-July 2.
