GJ-Bu Illustrator Aruya Draws Manga Adaptation of Novels

posted on by Egan Loo
Anime adaptation from Dogakobo to premiere in January

Aruya, the illustrator for Shin Araki's GJ-bu (Good Job Club) light novel series, will launch a manga version of the series in Shogakukan's Monthly Sunday GX magazine.

Araki launched the original GJ-bu moe light novel series as the "first four-panel novel" in 2010; each of the nine volumes contains 36 four-page short stories about high school students.

The anime adaptation of Araki's light novel series will premiere next January. The studio Dogakobo (Yuruyuri, Natsuyuki Rendezvous) will produce the series. Yoshiyuki Fujiwara (episode director for Guilty Crown, Blue Exorcist) will direct the series, and Hideaki Koyasu (Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan: Demon Capital, Akikan!) is handling the scripts and series composition.
