Blade of the Immortal's Samura Starts New Manga in May

Tentatively-titled Tatazumeru Snegurochka to follow man & woman in Russia in 1920

The 80th volume of Ohta Publishing Co.'s Manga Erotics F magazine announced on Wednesday that Blade of the Immortal's Hiroaki Samura will begin serializing a new manga series in the magazine's next issue, which will ship on May 8. The manga, tentatively titled Tatazumeru Snegurochka (The Loitering Snow Maiden), is Samura's first work in Manga Erotics F in five years since he completed his Bradherley no Basha manga.

Tatazumeru Snegurochka takes place in Russia in 1920 and follows a woman named Bielka and her attendant named Shishenok, neither of whom can trust anyone else.

Samura ended his historical Blade of the Immortal (Mugen no Jūnin) manga in December after 19 years of serialization. Dark Horse Comics published the 25th volume of the manga in North America last August. The manga inspired a television anime in 2008, and Media Blasters released it in English.

Samura had revealed in December when he ended Blade of the Immortal that he was planning a new manga series.
