posted on by Andrew Osmond
ANN has been told that Anime Limited has gained all rights to the series Samurai Flamenco, currently streaming on the Wakanim site. The story follows Masayoshi Hazama (Toshiki Masuda), a man who becomes a superhero "by himself" without superpowers or technology, and Hidenori Goto (Tomokazu Sugita), a cop who finds out Hazama's true identity and thus constantly gets in trouble thanks to "the superhero." The anime's tagline reads, "To those 'adults' who don't want to become adults..." and "Hero will never give up, never hide, never be defeated, never accept evil."
The show also stars Chie Nakamura as Sumi Ishihara, Juurouta Kosugi as Joji Kaname, Satoshi Mikami as Akira Konno, and Tōru Ohkawa as Jun Harazuka. The series will air for half a year. Takahiro Ōmori (Natsume's Book of Friends, Baccano!, Princess Jellyfish) directs, while Chinatsu Kurahana (Uta no Prince-sama - Maji Love 1000%, Aquarion Evol original character designs) is designing the characters.
