Himika Akaneya Stars in Pretty Rhythm Film & TV Anime as Lāla

The opening-day cast greeting event held at Tokyo's Movix Kameari theater announced on Saturday that voice actress Himika Akaneya is playing Lāla in the Pretty Rhythm All Star Selection: Prism Show☆Best Ten film. The movie opened in Japan on Saturday and introduced Lāla as a new character.
Akaneya will also appear as Lāla in the franchise's latest anime series, Pretty Rhythm All Star Selection. Lāla is training to become an idol, and the three idols from the previous anime will show her Prism Shows from the past to show her ways to shine. The shōjo anime will premiere in Japan on April 5.
Akaneya had a minor role in the Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live television anime series and performed the second ending theme song with idol group i☆Ris. She plays Nayu in Noragami and had a minor role in Freezing Vibration.
Characters from the Pretty Rhythm anime series (Pretty Rhythm Aurora Dream, Pretty Rhythm Dear My Future, Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live) are returning in the film. The movie features the top ten songs from the Pretty Rhythm franchise.
The first television anime, Pretty Rhythm Aurora Dream, premiered in 2011. Two more television anime, Pretty Rhythm Dear My Future and Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live, have since followed in 2012 and 2013, respectively.
