Ayami Sema, a member of the Pretty Rhythm series idol unit Prizmmy☆, announced at the end of the final episode of Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live that she will be leaving the group. Sema has been a member of Prizmmy☆ since 2012 during the broadcast of Pretty Rhythm Aurora Dream. Sema will graduate officially on Sunday after the unit's public performance in Odaiba. In the Prizmmy☆ official mail magazine, Sema wrote that she hopes that fans will continue to support Prizmmy☆ after she leaves, and she also thanked her fans for all of their encouragement up until now.
After the broadcast of the final episode of the anime, TV Tokyo opened a website for the Pretty Rhythm All Star Selection anime, which will sample clips from past episodes of the Pretty Rhythm anime franchise, as well as introduce the heroine of the upcoming PriPara anime, 5th-grader Lala Manaka (voiced by Himika Akaneya).
Masakazu Hishida will return once more to direct the anime, while Deko Akao will also return to handle the series scripts. Tatsunoko Production is credited for animation production. The cast will also be returning, with Kana Asumi as Pretty Rhythm Aurora Dream's Aira Harune, Rumi Okubo as Pretty Rhythm Dear My Future's Mia Ageha, and Emiri Katō as Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live's Naru Ayase.
Fans will be able to send in their ideas for Lala's "debut" as an idol beginning on April 5, when the anime premieres.
The website is also currently streaming the preview for the series.
