Girls' Last Tour director Takaharu Ozaki helms anime at WHITE FOX, Hideyuki Kurata is in charge of scripts

The official website for the television anime adaptation of Kumo Kagyu's Goblin Slayer light novel series began streaming a promotional video for the anime on Saturday. The video reveals the anime's staff.

The anime will premiere this year.

Takaharu Ozaki (Persona 5 the Animation -The Day Breakers-, Girls' Last Tour) is directing the anime at WHITE FOX. Hideyuki Kurata (Read or Die, Made in Abyss, Kamichu!) is in charge of series composition and is penning the scripts alongside Yousuke Kuroda (Jormungand, My Hero Academia). Takashi Nagayoshi (Girls' Last Tour animation director) is designing the characters. Mili is credited for the opening theme.

The anime will feature the same cast as an earlier drama CD adaptation:

SB Creative published the first volume of the Goblin Slayer dark fantasy novel series in February 2016, and the company published the seventh volume on March 14. Noboru Kannatsuki illustrates the novel series.

Kōsuke Kurose (The [email protected] Neue Green for Dearly Stars) launched the main manga adaptation in May 2016.

Yen Press has licensed both the novels and Kurose's manga adaptation. The company published the fourth novel in print on December 19, and released the manga's 21st chapter digitally on February 26.

Yen Press describes the series:

A young priestess has formed her first adventuring party, but almost immediately they find themselves in distress. It's the Goblin Slayer who comes to their rescue--a man who's dedicated his life to the extermination of all goblins, by any means necessary. And when rumors of his feats begin to circulate, there's no telling who might come calling next...

Yen Press is also publishing Kento Eida's Goblin SlayerSide Story: Year One manga in English. Yen Press launched the manga in September, on the same day the manga premiered in Japan. The company published the ninth chapter on March 16.
