New 4K Restoration of Memories Anthology Film Will Have UK Premiere in London on Thursday

The Prince Charles cinema will screen the UK premiere of a new 4K restoration of the 1995 anthology anime film Memories on Thursday April 23 at 6.10 p.m.
The film consists of three segments, directed by Kōji Morimoto, Tensai Okamura and Katsuhiro Ōtomo. Anime Limited describes Memories as follows:
"Three back-to-back anime films by three different directors make up this sci-fi trilogy three years in the making. In the chilling 'Magnetic Rose,' engineers on a spacecraft board an abandoned space station and encounter disturbing paranormal forces. A young lab worker accidentally swallows a chemical weapon and becomes a walking killing machine in 'Stink Bomb.' In 'Cannon Fodder,' a young boy and his father fight for survival in a city functioning on paranoia."
The Prince Charles Cinema will also screen several other anime film into June. Tickets for these films are available here and all the screenings are subtitled.
The 4K edition of Katsuhiro Ōtomo's Akira will be screened on Wednesday April 22 (5.30 p.m.), Thursday April 23 (3.25 p.m. and 8.45 p.m.), Friday April 24 (3 p.m.), Saturday April 25 (5.30 p.m.), Sunday April 26 (8.25 p.m.), Monday April 27 (2.35 p.m.), Tuesday April 28 (12.30 p.m.), Wednesday April 29 (5.5 p.m.) and Thursday April 30 (11.45 a.m.)
Hayao Miyazaki's Princess Mononoke (4K) will be screened on Friday April 24 at 12 noon.
Takeshi Koike's Redline will be screened on Saturday April 25 at 5.10 p.m.
A double-bill of Hideaki Anno's Evangelion: Death (True)² and The End of Evangelion will be screened on Friday May 1 (8.30 p.m.)
Makoto Shinkai's your name. will be screened on Saturday May 9 at 3 p.m.
Rintarō's Metropolis will be screened on Thursday May 14 at 12.45 p.m.
Shinichirō Watanabe's Cowboy Bebop: The Movie will be screened on Friday May 22 at 11.45 a.m.
Mamoru Oshii's Ghost in the Shell (4K) will be screened on Thursday June 4 (3.15 p.m.)
Satoshi Kon's Perfect Blue will be screened on Saturday June 6 (5.50 p.m.)
Kenichiro Akimoto's All You Need Is Kill will be screened on Sunday June 14 (11.45 a.m.)
Isao Takahata's Grave of the Fireflies will be screened on Friday June 19 (6 p.m.)
