September 1, 2006 (Cypress, Ca) – Bandai Entertainment, INC. announced today that it's anime series Eureka Seven will debut on Canada's premiere #1 youth network, YTV. The first episode will premiere on September 8th, 2006. Also, YTV will broadcast the Bandai Entertainment and Sunrise series Gundam Seed Destiny, the follow-up to the immensely popular Gundam Seed, with airdate and time to be determined.

“We are very pleased to partner with YTV, Canada's number one youth network, to bring Eureka Seven and Gundam Seed Destiny to Canadian anime fans,” said Bandai Entertainment President Ken Iyadomi.

Eureka Seven, is produced by Studio Bones, focuses on Renton, a young boy in a world where “lifting” (an extreme form of hoverboarding) is common. Renton's life is changed forever by a mysterious and beautiful young girl named Eureka.

YTV looks forward to adding Eureka Seven to its Friday night anime programming block, Bionix,” said Phil Piazza, Vice President, Programming, Corus Children's Television. “Continuing to build the Bionix brand, this series is a perfect fit. Anime fans of all ages will love the high-flying adventures and extreme sports action in this series.”
