ADV ANNOUNCES MARCH 13 RELEASES

HOUSTON, January 15, 2007 —ADV Films, the number one producer-distributor of anime outside of Japan, is pleased to bring you two great titles set to arrive on streets on March 13. Keep you eyes open for the second volume of Best Student Council and the sixth and final volume of Michel!

BEST STUDENT COUNCIL: MAKING THE GRADE

“A Fun Blending Of Parody And Pure Comedy, With Just A Tinge Of More Serious Content” – Anime News Network

ADV Films is proud to announce the arrival of the second volume of Best Student Council, the cute and loveable show starring Pucchan the puppet. Volume two of this addicting series hits the streets on March 13!

From the Production Team at J.C. Staff (Azumanga Daioh) and Director Yoshiaki Iwasaki (Love Hina) comes the most highly anticipated comedy of the year. Join the girls of the academy and one strange puppet on one ride that is sure to leave you laughing.

Synopsis: Now that Rino's been a part of the Best Student Council for a while, most of the girls are starting to accept her. But they still can't figure out the deal with her puppet friend Pucchan. HE'S NOT A PUPPET! In this volume, the girls grow closer as they discover the joys and sorrows of dating. They realize the enormous effort it takes – especially for Rino – just to make the grade. They bond when Sayuri confronts a demon from her past and realize she's just a normal girl who also happens to be a master swordsman. And as if that weren't enough, the girls confront their biggest challenge yet – putting on swimsuits when all the boys want to watch Kanade…ahem…swim. This is the “maximum authority wielding” Best Student Council at their very best yet.

Best Student Council: Making The Grade (SRP $29.98 DVD) is a DVD-only release including five episodes, presented in both English 2.0 and Japanese 2.0 with English subtitles. Extras include a short pilot video for the show, plus clean opening animation, clean closing animation and previews of upcoming ADV Films releases.
