Kawaii Kon 2011 Announces Wendee Lee to the Guest LineupDec 29th 2010
Honolulu, Hawaii – December 29, 2010 – Kawaii Kon, Hawaii's premier anime convention and conference, is back for a 7th year and announces its newest guest for the 2011 show. Scheduled to appear is:
Wendee is an American voice actor who got her start back in school doing voices and getting in trouble for it – lucky for us, she was not discouraged! While she has done voice work for many video games as well as several episodes in the Power Rangers franchise, she is particularly prolific in the dubbing of anime. As of April 2009, with 223 credits to her name, she has more credits in this medium than any other English voice-over actor.
Wendee is best known for her roles as Faye Valentine from Cowboy Bebop, Konata Izumi from Lucky Star, and Haruhi Suzumiya from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Other voice acting credits include Battle Athletes, Bastard!!, Bleach, Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-chan, Chobits, Digimon Adventure, Fushigi Yugi, Love Hina, Nadia - The Secret of Blue Water, Please Teacher!, Tenchi Muyo! and many others!
Kawaii Kon 2011 will be held at the Hawaii Convention Center from April 29th to May 1st 2011.
Kawaii Kon is a three-day convention event dedicated to creating a broader awareness of, and appreciation for Japanese animation by celebrating the richness of this artform. Through cooperation with the community, Kawaii Kon hopes to facilitate growth of the anime, manga and related industries in Hawaii and beyond.
