Celebrate Japanese Pop Culture with Anime Festival 2020 – Returning to Sydney, March 7-8

Anime Festival is Australia's biggest celebration of all things Japanese pop culture. The event,
lovingly dubbed “MadFest”, returns to Sydney for its second year and presents an immersive space
for fans to come together and experience a lively and curated showcase of anime, manga, cosplay,
music, gaming, art and merchandise.

Major drawcards to the event include the activities and community, with cosplay competitions,
exclusive screenings, musical performances, and special appearances from popular industry talent,
including Yūki Kaji and David Matranga; who provide the Japanese and English-dub voice for My
Hero Academia's Shoto Todoroki.

They are joined by voice actor Kana Ueda (Fate/Grand Order); renowned animator/character
designer Shingo Adachi (Sword Art Online); J-pop starlet Luna Haruna; and international Cosplayer,
Mon, who hails from Taiwan.

Fans can also interact with their favourite anime titles, with exhibitions, activities and more to excite
and engage fans of titles such as My Hero Academia, Demon Slayer, Fire Force, Attack on Titan,
Digimon and Sword Art Online.

Anime Festival will be held at the ICC in Sydney, on Saturday the 7th (10am - 6pm) and Sunday the
8th of March (10am - 5pm). Tickets are on sale and can be purchased online from
animefestival.com.au.
