I've got a question(s) on El Hazard/The wanderers. I've been watching it on the International Channel, but I missed the beginning episodes.
1st of all, what's the deal with the name? I set my Tivo for a season pass of El Hazard, but all of a sudden, it started showing up in the listings as The Wanderers. (Of course, I didn't find this out for 3 wks, and missed a bunch more showings). What is the right title for this show? Also, I saw an episode with Makoto trying to read a priestess' books, but he had to build her a library first. It seemed as though he had super powers. But in another episode, where a wolf was chasing him, he was helpless. What's the deal there? Also, the little girl Makoto hangs around with- (Sorry, can't remember her name) - Her voice sounds so familiar. Has the voice actor done any other series'? Thanks for the help. |

The Wanderers is the title for the El Hazard TV series, I havn't seen it, but, from what I understand, it's basically a re-telling of the El Hazard OAV. If the series follows the same idea as the manga and the OAV then Matoko has the ability to basically 'communicate' with the El Hazard technology (which was caused by him being transported to El Hazard), that's why he would be helpless in a fight. The girl you are referring to is probably Alielle, you can probably find some more information on her in the encyclopedia. Carl |
