Well I'm catching up on my Bleach episodes Very Happy

I finished watching episode 47...its the episode where Soi Fong reflects back on what happened between her and Yoruichi...and I have a question about there relationship.

Was it just a relationship biult on friendship and respect and what not...or was there something more? I don't know, I got the hint of something more between the two.

I'm not trying to be perverted or anything, I just wanna know what it really was.
And even if you have to give a manga spoiler to answer, I don't mind.

Anyway, thanks for the help and Happy Holidays everyone!!

It looks as though Soi Fong thinks of her as a mother figure and greatly respects/loves her in that way seeing as how she was just kind of abandoned by her own family/guardians. Thus she felt tremendously abandoned and betrayed when she left without saying anything to her. It's 57 you're thinking of though I think.

Yea i figured that was the case, the only part that had me questioning was the scene when they are both out at night, and Yoruichi lays her head and Soi's lap, and Soi's like stroking her hair (thats what it looked like to me).

And you're right my mistake it is episode 57

(The thing is i was hoping for some Yoruichi-Ishida loving....but if she's lesbian...then that's out the question lol....although i wouldnt mind some Yoruichi-Inoue loving) Surprised Surprised Surprised

Didn't Yoroichi say something along the lines of how Soi Fong is like her little sister? I seriously don't see any sexual relationship between the two. While it would be close minded to complelty throw the idea out the window, I honestly think their relationship (prior to Yoroichi's absence) was a mix between a senpai/kohai relationship, and a sibling relationship. That's my take on it anyway.

Uhm...I don't think there was any romantic relationship going on - that just wouldn't be in character for either of them. If, at the most, Yoruichi was an older sister who left the nest without saying anything, leaving the little sister who loved her behind to take over.

Hmm. I think you need to read the manga and watch the anime again. There is very little doubt as to the sexual orientation of either Yoruichi or Soi Fong -- nor is there much doubt as to where their affections lie.

Soi Fong's anger isn't the anger of a loyal retainer abandoned by her lady. It's the anger of a jilted lover.

I'm not so sure. The Japanese culture has this whole "sempai" thing going on, in which higher level women and lower level women (either in business, school, whatever) tend to hook up in which seems outwardly like a lesbian relationship, and yet does not seem to include sex or anything like that, and is not exclusive to outside heterosexual relationships.

That might be what this is, it might not. I could see it being either, in the former case, she would just feel that her loyalty and friendship was betrayed. You know women, they get crazy at the drop of a hat, so a trusted friend that close, even if it wasn't romantic, would be plenty of justification for flipping out like that.

Or they could be bi, who knows?

As a married man, far be it from me to disagree with you -- but you might want to pick your words with more care, another time.
