I've grown so fond of anime that sometimes i feel like i want to be in an anime production team and produce my own anime. I was just wondering how many of you share that feeling. So if you have that feeling, please share it here. Quote the name that your produced anime would have and say why you wanted to produce that anime. The anime can be anything from your own creation to the conversion of a game or a movie to an anime.

If i ever produced an anime it would be the Onimusha series. The hero would be Jubei Yagyu and the heroin Oyu. Im not really fond of the other hero, Samanosuke. I would want to produce this anime cause it is one of my favorite games of all time. And the setting is perfect in ancient Japan. There would be action, romance, fantasy genres involved in it. But hard to involve comedy in it though. And the title would of course be Onimusha: The Series.

Oh one more thing. Please mention the names of the lead characters.

The first thing I would do is make an anime out the Skies of Arcadia game from Dreamcast. It is probably the best game I ever played...and I think it would make a great anime.
I loved every single character and the story was just mindblowing. I think FFX comes close, but SoA would be great. The main characters would of course by Vyse, Aika, and Fina, along with the bad guys Ramirez and Galcian. If you've played the game you'd know what I was talking about. If not then go play it...

Anyway, it's an adventure, but there is a good amount of comedy and drama mixed in as well.

I would like to create my own anime by mixing a few of my favorites.

Title: Headshot

Premise: We have a man (Mr. Rogers- no relation to the celebrity) on the run from a crime he didn't commit and his own paranoia and schizophrenia leads to his new best friend: A talking handgun (Percy) with a mind of it's own (and potential for a plushie marketing tie in).

Key supporting character and antagonists:

Detective Cohen: A lazy detective with likes nachos and alcohol. He ignores obvious clues and signs that may clear the suspect or lead to the killer because he is an idiot. Later decides to go on a quest to clear our hero but screws that up to.

The B Street Killer: A man who hides inside a cardboard box with a knife or a sawed off shotgun waiting for victims.

Reporter Suzie Ann: A reporter for the media who makes up a lot of stuff to further ratings.

---The anime style would be in the style of Satoshi Kon's works with dark humor and possible social messages. The violent aspects would come from the most ridiclous aspects of the show.

Meh, mine doesn't have a title, as it's just an idea that's been playing in my head for awhile... Basically, a shonen story with a female protagonist.

The said protagonist goes by the name of Soan, and is a scrawny, carefree girl with heavy-lidded eyes and an abnormally patient attitude. She was the princess of a mountain clan, but the repressive training and stuffy, "no-nonsense" attitude of her elders made Soane abandon her village in pursuit of adventure. She hates anxiety and worrying, and is criticized by others for her lack of ambition or responsibility. She rides on a mountain beast named Ralligan, who looks like a cross between a billy-goat and a kangaroo.

She is later joined by Jek, a Indian-looking bounty hunter who will do almost anything for money. He is determined to rise above the poverty of his country, and has a very enterprising view on life. Jek initially joins Soan intending to sell her back to her people, but grows to like the girl and her laidback attitude.

Other characters include Mother Tousely, a buff almost Viking-like warrior woman who can be motherly one moment and a beserker the next. The antagonist is Prince Kyulo, who like Soan is the precocious leader of his people, however he takes his responsibilities very seriously, and has a conqueror's eye. Riding on a giant black snow-crane named Nimbus, he later captures Soan as an intended ransom against her village.

And that's all I have. Anime hyper

I'm still diligently praying, ever so hopelessly, for a Planet Ladder anime series.

Pretty please? :)

The mangazine that published it went under, I believe, so I don't think it was ever very popular in Japan. It was mildly popular for a time in America when it first started running, it was one of Tokyopop's very first "100% manga" titles. But slow releases and delays sort of killed the buzz by the time Volume 5 came out, and then it took over 2 more years for 6 and 7 to finally come out.

Ever imagined what production would be like? You know those giant boats in old times, which had sweeps? Those big paddles that stuck out of the bottom? Remember they had those on the Black Pearl of Pirates of the Carrebian? It's slightly less pleasant than that.

It's been a dream of mine for some time to direct (or produce, or basically be involved with in any way) an animated adaptation of the book series The Sevenwaters Trilogy by Juliet Marillier. Embarassed The books (romance, fantasy) are kind of a guilty pleasure of mine, based on Irish folklore. They would adapt into an animated series very well. I don't much care to work in Japan, so I would want to pitch the idea here in the States. As long as I'm dreaming, I'd ideally get studio funding in order to produce the animation in-house, and in 2D. I'd make three seasons (I know it would be a lot or work, but I think I could do it eventually), each one based on a book from the series. And it would be a refreshing change for American audiences, to see an animated romance aimed at females on TV. As far as style goes, I'd lean toward something Piotr Dumala-inspired, but a little more mainstream and mixed with my own style.

But that'll never happen, of course. The best I can do is to keep working at studios and do the best I can to earn a reputation, so someday I might get the chance to direct something along those lines.

Energy:
Kennichi is your average 11 year old, likes card games, anime, etc. One day, coming home from a friend's house, a man bumps into him. He sees that the man dropped something-a pack of cards- and takes them home (the man is long gone.) The cards are called Energy.
He goes to sleep, and has a dream about a fire goddess, who tells him not to play the card game. The next day, a girl named Hikari transfers into his class, and somehow knows about Energy (no one else does.) When Hikari tells him not to play, he calls her phyco. When he apologizes later, she forgives him, saying she'd be that way too, if her dream suddenly came to life. How could Hikari know?
Kennichi shows his friend, Shota, the game the next day. He likes it, and has an interest in a card called The Demon. As he leaves the house, he collapses, and rushed to the hospital.
In the hospital, Shota's soul was removed from the body, and The Demon's 'soul' entered. Demon wakes up, and leaves the hospital. When Kennichi hears this, he goes out to find Shota. He catches up with Demon (in Shota's body) and learns of this soul transfer. Now he must use the cards to help get Shota's soul in Shota's body.
The only problem...KENNICHI SUCKS AT ENERGY!

That's my idea. Thanks for reading.

Totoro.

Well said - I wouldn't mind producing that, if I were a studio exec. - truly great game - that and Shenmue (which was kind of already a movie that unfolded as a game, which was why it was so great).

This is something I've thought about alot.

The title is Night

Main Character: a 14 year old girl named Izumi lives wonderfully and has the perfect life. She has looks and friends and brains and money$$$! The only thing odd about her is that she's neevr stayed up past 8or woken up before 8.

But one day she wakes up in the middle of the night and finds that her life was flipped around. She is all by herself in a run down house and is ugly. She doesn't know hat is goin on and decides to go bak to sleep. Whne she wakes up evrything is normal.

Thus starts the life of the double lifed girl. the next day she stays up past eight and after she blinked she found herself in that world again. She learns that she is in a paralell universe at night and another at day. Someone(I dont know who yet) tells her that if at the start your life is eithehrcompletely terrible or completely wonderful, you get/have to get another one, opposite of what you have.

I don't know where to go with this idea and would greatly appreciate assistance. Wink Wink

Hmm, that one is actually a pretty good idea which opens up a lot of possibilities in terms of character development and plot. She could have two distinctly diferent families and friends in each world and could be torn between those she likes in one and those she likes in another.

Perhaps the show could deal with finding the flaws in the "perfect" life and the blessings in the "terrible" one and the need to change things rather than be changed by them to stop the two worlds from either mixing or being destroyed.

Ahem...

My idea: Wish upon a Star

Setting: Very distant future where mankind has spread across the galaxy and split into several sub-groups. An age of peace has lasted for millenia and a great celebration has been started as people prepare for the first intergalactic flight using a technology that has been in development for hundreds of years.

Main Characters:
-Yuji: a 18 year old guy who has paractically been breed for overconfidence, any self doubt is considered a horrible weakness by his parents who happen to be among the wealthiest benefactors of the "galaxy flight" program. He has just been enrolled into military-tactical school as part of his planet's tradition for people of certain social stature.

-Kerah: a 20 year old woman who secretly just wants to live a lazy and peaceful life, but puts up a hardworking and confident image so as ot to dissapoint her older sister who sacrificed her own dreams of glory for her sake. She is working as a low level intern at the "Wing" foundation which is the organization managing the "galaxy flight" program.

-Sandare: a rather slow and spacey 15 year old girl with a penchant for daydreaming but who hates actual dreams since she has been having bizzare nightmares for as long as she can remember. Lives in a humble human settlement on an alien city near the galactic edge.

Story: 3 days before the intergalactic spaceship is to launch a normally very reserved alien race sends a very matter-of-fact message to the human leaders telling them that as all races do when they achieve the "higher level of influence" and venture outside their long standing corner of the universe a wish is granted to them. For as long as any of the greater civilizations knows it has been this way, an entitity of unknown origin called "Star Teacher" reveals itself to the race at end of their first so called "Great Journey" and grants any wish to "the one chosen by your own hands."

The revelation quickly turns peace to suspicion and hatred and eventually vicious competition between the various human factions to reach this entity as well as several alien races' attempts to stop humanity from this. Before long an all out war breaks out as some desperately seek more information from the aliens, rush to either help or stop the "galaxy flight" or are sent into combat against old friends and enemies.

Ok, I know this is weird, but I think about this everytime I read this book...an anime adaption of 'The Giver' by Lois Lowry. The story is very emotional, and it takes many unexpected turns, which anime fans would love. Also, color is a huge part of this story, and that could be done very well in anime....yeah, weird idea, but....

I don't want to produce anime myself, but I would like to draw manga in Japan!
