I was watching the Sam X OVA and I saw, on grown up Yahiko's kimono, a small symbol for bad just like Sano. Its on him in Yahiko no Sakabato and on the 4 inch figure. Any one know why its there? Is it because he hung out with Sanosuke alot?

Basically, yes. He wears it out of admiration for Sanosuke.
