Man, I didn't realize this lasted 18 volumes. I wonder if anyone asked Viz to consider licensing the rest.

And we never gotten an anime adaptation. Crying or Very sad

The first half was far from perfect but good.
Can't really say the same about the second.

Eighteen volumes is a quite healthy length to end at.

I really liked reading what Seven Seas was able to release of Hayate X Blade before a change of publisher made further releases impossible. It was a fun, goofy, sometimes earnest, sometimes exciting series.

I wish that it had been animated and that the whole thing had been released in the United States.

I think that this merits correction as Shizuru Hayashiya is a woman. As evidence: she is referred to as such in the introduction to this personal interview conducted in 2011 by Erica Friedman at Winter Comiket.

Quite. I came in here to correct this, glad to see somebody else was on top of it.

Too bad the Shueisha publisher change means we won't see any more of the manga here unless Viz caves in. The author said in an interview (probably the one linked above) that she wanted people to try to get the series released here again but it's probably too late now.

Thought it was a Combat Butler and Marvel's Blade crossover.

Geez, that just makes this series forever doomed to be underrated.

Wow, what is with all the manga ending these days???

I've read Hayate x Blade since its first monthly in Ultrajump in 2008 so I guess I didn't read it from the very beginning in 2004 but I have enjoyed it for years. Will be missed.
