I'll probably watch it in its original sub language but this is going to be FABULOUS.

So freaking HYPED!

Loved the samples of the dub. I'm ready Toonami.

That was awesome.

That looks brainless. I am glad I am not the target demographic for this show. I am not a nostalgia apologist who believes that all anime from the 80s and 90s was great. Have fun believing that a third rate rip off of Cowboy Bebop will "save anime western fandom."

That being said, I hope that this adventure is profitable for FUNi, and they do not regret picking up and dubbing a series that looks like simply nostalgia bait without substance.

Nostalgia for what?

What kind of substance?

This just looks like a sci-fi comedy anime and nothing more.

Brainless compared to what? It looks like a fun show with a wacky lead. Is it supposed to be something more? What is wrong with it not being some uber deep show?

And I'm not sure why you felt the need to go on the defense all ready. Next I'm sure is the RyanSatomoe type of post reminding us how Japan dosen't want this.

This looks nothing like Cowboy Bebop at all, so I'm not even sure why that was brought up. In fact this looks in line with 70s/80s manga/anime creations like Cobra, Lupin, and whatnot. The type of manga/anime that still has it's audience.

And third rate? How. Well beyond the fact that this show looks nothing like Bebop it also looks like a top of the line production in every which way.

Either way, I'm not sure what your problem is and why you feel the need to be so defensive about this show.

^100% positive post.

I just finished watching the BD version of Cowboy Bebop, and this show looks nothing like it, i'm guessing you're comparing the two shows because of the director & other staff involved.

But if you'd compare different shows simply because they have similar staff, you'd have to compare a whole lot of anime Rolling Eyes .

Bebop was totally a wacky comedy with talking aliens, colorful visuals, and a wacky main character. This show is a total rip-off.

Yep Space Dandy looks like this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4zcaRssOSk

I wish it did. Just like I wish someone other than Funi was dubbing this.

Why? Because I do not get why some many people are fawning over a show that looks like and old and mediocre sci-fi/space anime.
