I found out the cast list in 2nd movie poster have yamato(VA unknown)

"Super battleships" are Yamato style ships or like the US's Iowa class. Such ships were proven poor, as air power made it so such ships never faced the other "ships of the line" they were built to fight.

But i assume the english release of the manga will catch up with the story before we see the movies state side.

Have you read the original manga? The story was so different from the anime, which is a good thing. I don't thing I would have watch the show if it followed the manga. Unless, they came out with an alternate release of the manga that follows the show.

pretty much started to deviate at the part with the fight between iona and haruna w/ kirishima

As this will be a "brand new work" I guess it will not be based on the manga? I haven't watched the anime yet so I don't know how closely it's following the manga...

Sorry, but spoiler[replace of the Hakugei II with deus ex torpedo in battle with Haruna and Kirishima, berserk Iona, beach episode, death of I-400 and I-402, and the full story with Kongou from beginning to the end - and don't forget the revision of the number of characters to some idiotic level]...

You seriously think that this is a GOOD thing?!
