Don't know how to feel about this. In the Philippines you rarely see local female pop groups (last I remember is the literally named "Pop Girls") so I don't know how they'll fair. At the same time Filipinos are known for their singing prowess, so I'm sure there'll be good singers in MNL48.

Not to be pedantic, but I think it's correct because it's used as an adjective there ("Philippine Spinoff Group") .
