Fairly standard practice in the gaming world. Release dates are never set in stone despite what any press release says. That is of course unless a particular Publisher pushes the Developer to make sure the games out within a certain financial year. *Cough* EA, *cough* Mass Effect Andromeda. The game was probably on course to go gold ready to be shipped this year, but more than likely a final internal beta convinced them the game was nowhere near up to snuff. So they've delayed it in the hopes of fixing the most glaring issues. |
