I would argue they aren't necessarily being 'wasted' as the creator gets them and likely eats some of them, gives some as gifts, etc.

"Some" being the operative word, since past reports seemed to indicate they were getting bombarded with thousands of pounds of candy every year. And it would have been so easy to turn it into something really awesome, too: just request that the fans send non-perishables instead, and it could have been a great food drive.

Chocolate has almost zero nutritional value, so it's not like they're wasting anything important anyway.

Laughing Only if it was store-bought and still in the original seal. I wouldn't dare eat any home-made chocolate. Who knows what the fujoshi put in it...
