It's not bad right now, Yukio has gone full edgelord and we're in flashback land right now, but I'm hoping it's going to get better soon. Don't lose hope, dammit!

The series has really only gotten more and more interesting as it's gone on. Developing characters in very well but slowly, and genuinely creepy world building you don't see coming.
Now if someone is a fan of the anime then yeah it's less than ashelf of it's former self.
