I see a broke and desperate initiative that's needs the funding pulled, talk about a money pit. Although I'm surprised Hirano is still around after the mess she pulled (how many scandals you know of are bad enough for doujin to be made of it).

Man, that was eight years ago. She's done Lucy's voice throughout Fairy Tail's entire run from 2009 to 2019 (finished recording the final episode a few months ago), including side projects in-between the show's hiatuses (both lasted a combined three years).

People just don't know how to let things go, no matter how hard they try to improve their image and make amends.

To further immblueversion's point, she has also done a lot of stage work including a stint as Eponine in Les Miserables. She also returned to New York to complete her studies. Yes she made mistakes in the past and they'll be a part of her past, there's no denying that. But credit should be given to people who try to amend for their mistakes.

One of most talented 2000s seiyu.

Too bad she didn't have more roles in this decade.

Isn't she also the voice of Virtual YouTuber, Pinky Pop Hepburn?

Or am I just hearing things?

Yeah, what a mess. A woman dared to have a sex life! Scandalous.

I hadn't read that article before, but it certainly expresses about half of what I think of the idea of trying to export Japan to the world: they don't know what to export and how. Anime and manga are a strength, but not one with a particularly wide appeal that can sustain a national economy. I get the impression that Japan's own entertainment industry gets in the way of exporting anything creative that isn't anime or manga, like music and movies.

The other half is that a sizable chunk of Japan's modern culture is just imported Western culture. Nobody is going to say that a Japanese version of something they already have is somehow cool just because it's Japanese. (Maybe it worked for Ginsu knives, but Ginsu knives were never Japanese. They were made in Ohio. Giving them a supposedly Japanese name was just a marketing gimmick.)

They'd do better trying to export yukatas, getas, and katanas, but even that has a limited appeal. (Plus it's probably illegal to sell katanas in most EU countries.)

Ah yes, it’s totally her fault that fans are obsessive weirdos and the poor men who had sex done at them by this horrible woman lost their jobs. How dare she.

Love that it’s 2019 and any news with her name still gets this obsessive creep shit. I’m sorry that women having autonomy is so scary.

Uh so it's all -her- fault?? Did she force them?

It's possible it's not an Idol thing but a Label thing, making sure people keep away from "inter-company dating" but if they were having consensual sex, it takes more than one to tango. They'd be just as culpable for it.

Well said. It's not like drugs or alcohol or other hateful crap some other celebrities pull, it's sex. The most natural thing in the world, where babies come from.

It's sickening that in 21st century men/boys(and to some extent, bible belt moms) still think women shouldn't have sex and it's a shameful thing for women to have sex drive

maybe you missed the first post..

Her Sex life got 3 band mates fired.

wait let me repeat it.. for those of poor vision..

Her Sex life got 3 band mates fired.

let it sink in now..

So 3 people lost their jobs because of a "fling" yet she remains employed.

So much for equal outcomes.. yay 2019!
