Im so incredibly excited for this anime. The books are a delight and I can't wait to see these characters come to life!

Didn't that end? I know it went up to 3 volumes and never heard from it again. Haven't read it yet so not sure if it's done done or MIA.

It’s a Japanese RPG trope about as strong as elves and orks, useful in story telling by being the absolute weakest enemy in a game/world. In this story it’s mainly a joke about how doing something so menial as killing slimes got the MC to Mac level.

As much I'm anticipating this series, the PV isn't exactly good. Yes, it's a laid back series and doesn't need setpieces or flashy animation, but the animation shown looks pretty awful.
Since there's still time for the broadcast date, I hope for some improvements.

Oh, I understand the trope, I'm just wondering why slimes are suddenly the focus of isekai stories (which have been around for a while now.) This will be the third show with slime in the title in a fairly short time span.

Likely it’s because That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime was really popular both in Japan and internationally and a lot of these titles are probably capitalizing on that success. I notice this a lot with light novels that when one series breaks out into the mainstream, you get a bunch of similar titles capitalizing on it. Like now it seems like we have more otome themed light novels after the Villainness series. Personally I think seeing the variations on similar subjects is part of the fun of light novel anime.
