The copaganda manga won it's category over Oshi no Ko.

Well, at least this tells me I shouldn't take these particular awards seriously

Well, even for "copaganda," I'd say it was pretty even-handed about it from what I saw in the anime (which I heard also did surprisingly well).

I continue to not understand what makes Nina the Starry Bride so special. What does it do that say, Boukoku no Marguerite or Itsuwari no Freyja doesn't do twice as well? (Nothing.)

Also personal opinion in the end. Relax. The choices are good and all 3 of the stories are solid works. It's nice to actually see some different picks for once.

I guess the awards weren't judged just by popularity. I've heard nothing but good things about Oshi no Ko but I only know about Police in a Pod because the anime just finished airing (Which was surprisingly good)

Cannot be sure, but in TenSura case, is it technically the first time when manga that is the adaptation of the other medium won the Kodansha award by it's own?

These are the Kodansha manga awards. These are the KCA Award for Best Animated Series of the manga industry. It was always going to be fixed.

There is no way Police in a Pod is even half as good as Akasaka-sensei's Oshi no Ko.

I love that Police in a Pod won. Not just that that it IS a good manga, but also the absolutely delicious whining from people on here and the subsequent schadenfreude. "Oh no, the thing I like didn't win! It HAS to be rigged and not due to vastly different cultural opinions, tastes, and likes" right, right.

Edit: Seeing it used for Police in a Pod, the term "Copaganda" really truly has lost any and all meaning it had at some point and now is simply a parrot word that's used any time police are depicted in Media as anything other than Gestapo.

Yeah, this is why I'm not a fan of every discourse being done through American centric lens.

This just tells me you didn't even read or watch it, and makes me hard to take your opinions on theses particular awards seriously.

this manga literally about suffering of a cops on everyday live. the manga author even stated she made this manga as protest to overwork nature of the agency she used to work with. how is this a cop propaganda?

Also, for someone who's username is all about liking things, you can't seem to accept when others like things you don't like.
