Not the first time something like this happens, see for example Kujibuki Unbalance.
The Otomen live action tried to do something similar with the actual Otomen manga (it being the manga Juuta was writing under his penname). Too bad that didn't really make sense, then again that show was just stupid (IMO/etc.) all around.
