Agreed, but given how badly things are going right now I am not feeling all that sure about winter either.

I see what you mean. Would've been better if it was like Kaiju no. 8 and got an indefinite 2024 release, but the fact Winter was chosen already shows how Aniplex wants to release it as soon as humanly possible.

I hope Solo Leveling fans aren't too mad with the release schedule, considering how bad this year has been for Aniplex.

And there you have the core of the issue, to release it is as fast as humanly possible even if you have too much on your plate to actually make it happen. Since a season has been chosen already it will mean delays and fragmented episodes if they hit a snag.
Again, I am hoping for the best but recent events have not shown much reason for confidence.

I was hoping it would be this year, but this hopefully gives them more time for a quality production. The original comic’s art goes hard.

A lot of shows produced/financed by them in this season ad production issues in some way, often resulting in delays or just bad quality in general. Nier, Ayakashi Triangle, Misfit S2, Bofuri S2, UniteUp!, just to name a few. And with A-1 Pictures specifically, almost every single show made by them since the last year or so had some sort of major behind the scenes trouble. So Solo Leveling's situation doesn't look all that good.

indeed their management of their newer anime became messy since before 86 and the Millionaire Detective Balance: UNLIMITED.

Despite that overall it looks pretty heap, I hope there won't be any delays in episode air dates and that it will have 20+ episodes.

If REDICE Studio wasn't continuing the webtoon currently I think it'd be more of an unbearable wait than it currently is.
