Now this should be interesting! Wonder what the staff might have to change, or if anything needs changing at all. The Korean series followed the original novel pretty closely, so would the Japanese series have to do the same? Or maybe it'll run closer to the webcomic? I'll be interested to find out.

Oh wow, I didn't know this web novel/webtoon is going to get a Japanese live-action adaptation aside from the K-drama adaptation (which is also on Prime Video too), that's hmm very interesting announcement.
Given that there is now a Japanese live-action adaptation, I wonder if this will lead to other countries to adapt/remake the webtoon like maybe we could see a Mainland Chinese, or Taiwanese adaptation (assuming Amazon is involve with these hypotheticals)? I wouldn't be shocked if Amazon announce an English/American live-action remake adaptation of this in 2026 given that South Korea and Japan has been remaking/adapting American properties into localized version. For example, did you know South Korea is planning a remake of Breaking Bad back in 2023, but since then there's no additional information or announcement on that remake. I would love to see a Japanese remake of this: 
I always thought this show was ripe for a Japanese remake and to be honest, that would be kind of cool to see. |
