On some level, I find it ironic that HBO Max is leaning more into licensed anime. The story around anime on Cartoon Network/adult swim had been that the higher ups preferred to have their own shows that they could use and monetize however they wanted, as opposed to simple broadcast rights. Now, all sorts of their own cartoons are dropped entirely while they license things they don't own for streaming.

I don't know whether the titles that were announced to be added to HBO Max will available worldwide, I know that due to licensing issues and whatever the content in various streaming services tend to vary depending on the region, but out of curiosity I checked my HBO Max app and the titles that seem to be available in Latin America, not counting the [adult swim] original productions like Uzumaki and Lazarus and WB. adjacent productions like Suicide Squad: Iseaki, Batman Ninja 1 & 2 and Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, include stuff like Blue Lock, The Apothecary Diaries, Haikyuu!, Death Note, Fairy Tail, Naruto, Boruto, Saint Seiya: the Lost Canvas, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Eien no 831, Code Geass II - Transgression, Mary and the WItch's Flower, Lupin III: the First, Lupin III: Part 6 and Megalo Box. Most of them are also airing in the [adult swim] cable channel that lauched last year.
It's not actually a bad selection of titles, but many of the things available on HBO Max are also available on Netflix and Crunchyroll, and Netflix and Disney+ have more original anime productions. At least all of the titles on Max are dubbed, with the exception of Code Geass II (and yes, only the second compilation film is available). But back in 2022 the have deslisted a lot of things as well, back in 2022 they added a bunch of Detective Conan and Doraemon movies, Castle of Cagliostro, some Shinkai films like Your Name and Wheathering with You, and one film called Bokura no Nanokakan Sensou (Our Seven Days War). I think this is already known, but I feel that HBO Max removes its content more quickly than other services.

I think his early stuff is much better than his later one (tbf I haven't watched his last one, so maybe its gotten better), imo he peaked at garden.
I know I should watch redline for the art/animation, but absolutely everything else about that movie does nothing for me
